Festive preparations start early in the sewing world! Or at least that’s what we aim for, right? I have been known to be sewing furiously on Christmas Eve while Santa in lazing by the fire half thinking about wrapping some presents…
Pouches of all shapes and sizes are great gifts - I enjoy giving them away almost as much as I enjoy making them! I found this unfinished APEXpouch tucked inside a half completed APEXcarry (got that finished too!) and now that it’s made I reckon it looks very festive with its red and grey with highlights of gold and silver!
I’ve a plan to make a few small COSYpouches to hold some lovely decorations bought in Italy this past autumn that I will be giving to some very special people in my life. Ann Marie of Crafty Studio gave me the idea during the COSYpouch workshop back in October. Thank you!! I was delighted to hear her idea as this is exactly what the pattern was created for - a cosy place to hold an extra special item. The energy and care taken to make it adding to the sentiment of the gift and an annual reminder of the love shared.

Final testing starts next week and I can’t wait to share with you the next pattern up my sleeve! I’ve been faffing about with this pattern for too long, thinking about size, proportions, details… I LOVE the latest version that I made and am ready to finalise it! An exciting and busy time ahead!
