BALANCEpouch Pattern
I’m not doing a wonderful job of keeping on top of this blog section am I? The juggle always proves more challenging than I expect, but I’ll keep trying! I am here today to let you know that the next pattern in the In Complete Stitches repertoire will be released tomorrow, 29th March 2024 - the BALANCEpouch. Now, here’s the thing. I’ve called it a pouch pattern, and yes it is a pouch pattern, but really it also makes for a wonderful crossbody purse too! Let me tell you a bit about the pattern…
GIVEAWAY??
Before I tell you all the details I want to let you know about some of the pattern release fun! To celebrate, as always, we’ve a few giveaways up and running. Over on Instagram a lovely bunch of testers are hosting giveaways for the next few days. In the In Complete Stitches Sew & Share Facebook group I’m hosting a giveaway too! Come join the fun!
There is a BALANCEpouch pattern release sale is up and running now, with 20% off all listings. Upon release the BALANCEpouch will be available with 25% off!
About The Pattern:
The BALANCEpouch comes in four sizes. Originally it had three; mini, medium & large, but my testers had other ideas so a small was added to complete the BALANCE family. They rarely make a bad suggestion you know! So fours sizes it is! But that’s just where it starts. The three larger sizes come with the option to make them in a narrow depth (perfect for a crossbody pouch/purse) or a wider depth (perfect for a tool pouch, wash bag, make up pouch!)
Pockets!
Let’s talk pockets! There are options here too, of course! The mini size has the option to add a centrally placed zipper to the front of the pouch. The other three sizes have an optional front zipped pocket that is concealed behind a flap that visually divides the front into two panels. A simple slip pocket can be added internally to the medium and large sizes.
Straps!
The BALANCEpouch can be made into a beautiful crossbody pouch/purse using one of two options. Sizes small, medium and large, come with strap connector pattern pieces for crossbody adaptation but all four sizes can be made with D-rings added to the zipper tabs. The latter is the easier method, but you can choose which you prefer!
The tutorial also suggests that a hand strap can be added to the wider versions - handy for a makeup bag, travel pouch, tool pouch…
That’s all for now! I can’t wait to see what you all think of this latest pattern!
xx Sarah.
