APEXsewalong
It has been an incredibly busy few months here. The APEXsewalong was amazing!! Thank you to everyone who took part! There was a wonderful response to the You Tube videos and such amazing APEXcarry bags were made during the sewalong. You can find all the videos over on my YouTube channel (heavens above I never thought I’d be saying that!) and I suspect it will not be the last sewalong such was the fun that was had!! From giveaways, to live insta feeds, all the fab bags being made. It was sew great!
It was all really Lili of Sun Kiss Melbourne‘s fault – she sent me some gorgeous waxed canvas to play with and one of us suggested a sewalong. I’m blaming her. It was much more work than I anticipated but well worth it in the end! A huge thank you to all the sponsors who added to the fun and excitement as we all love a fabulous sewing prize!!
I got three fab bags made – two during the sewalong and another finished that I had 90% complete during the original testing phase. Go check out #APEXsewalong for all the fabulous makes!!!
PLANETARYliebe!!
Yes, Planetary Love in GERMAN!!
My amazing friend Angela Wren, @_fingerhut over on Instagram, has, along with her students of Graz University, translated the Planetary Backpack pattern into German! A whole host of talented German sewists have sewn up the pattern using the translation and I can’t wait to share all their gorgeous work.
The German pattern will be released this Friday, 27th May, and you’ll find it from then in the Etsy Shop!!
JUSTweight Pattern Weights
Over in the In Complete Stitches Sew & Share Facebook group I have published a free PDF tutorial on how to make these gorgeous little pattern weights. A perfect scrap buster and such a neat little sewing project! When the new website is up and running I will have it available as a free download there too, but for now you can go get it in the Facebook group!
New Website Under Construction!!
Woo hoo!! Exciting!!
In the background I’ve been slowly working away on a new website. I’ve had great help from the wonderful folk over at www.fuel.ie who got the bones all set up and I’m bit by bit adding content as I juggle everything…
Hopefully I get it published in the next couple of months at which point I will be able to sell you all my wonderful patterns directly!! I’m hoping it will help control costs a little and give me better control over the interface with all you wonderful sewing people!!
That’s all for now! I’ll try to keep y’all up to date here a bit better, but please excuse a bit of silence while I work on the new website! xx Sarah
